wifi mobile phone

      Some mobile phone has wifi capability. Does this mean that I can surf net even when i am outside? Is this service free? What do I need to do to activate it?

      if you use free network like wireless@sg or free network of organisations/institutions, then you can surf for free.

       

      if not, you will have to use GPRS and it is very expensive, i ever kena charged $30 for half an hour usage.

      No u need not. U just need to find a hotspot. There are alot around singapore such as library and mcdonalds
